Christie: It's not about Obama
Christie: It's not about Obama

I caught up a buoyant Chris Christie outside his Morris County headquarters in a Parsippany office park just now, and asked him what today's election -- and the victory he's predicting for himself -- should say to President Obama.

He said he looks forward to "working with President Obama" and that Obama "is going to have a governor of New Jersey who's going to stand up for New Jersey."

"What this is all about is me and Jon Corzine. You want to read something into this, that's for you to write," he said.

His prediction: "We're winning this thing." http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1109/Christie_Its_not_about_Obama.html?showall#

Hey, even the idiot Repub gets it even if the media does not. NJ's approval rating for Obama is something like 55% or so anyway.

1. Interesting..with PO having a 55% polling
in New Jersey..I guess it's not about PO even though the corporate "media" wants it to be.

4. Christie tried to come off as moderate but I doubt he is as moderate as my Repub governor, Jodi Rell
Time will tell if he wins but NJ is a more of a moderate to liberal state and you cannot go to far to the right in the Northeast.

7. It has been tied or in a statistical heat. It all comes down to turnout and how much
the 3rd party candidate gets.

8. Thanks. I heard that one poll had Corzine taking the lead
Is that an outlier?

Several Polls Have Corzine Ahead, Several Christie, All Within MOE
Turnout and 3rd party will determine the race. I remain hopeful.

10. Sounds like he anticipates victory. I can see it because it's tough for an incumbant to win if they

have a approval rating in the 20's. Most people who are undecided at this point end up going against the incumbant by 2-1.
