And yet... I find myself strangely validated and content with the results today.

1 seat kept and 1 seat gained in the House. By the numbers in the NJ Assembly, he is virtually a castrated Republican Governor in NJ. And Virginia? A four-year term by McCrazy might just permanently push them to the "blue" side.

1. NY23 is the biggest race IMO.
It means there is a remnant of sanity in some Republicans that we can take advantage of.

3. I don't know if it is an acceptance of a populist approach or a rejection Bachmann-style craziness
Either way, in an "off-year" election, a tie is a win.

:D

5. Either way, it's historic bc
It's been republican since 1852..and PO had appointed the R Congressman from the 23rd District in NY to Sec of Army.

And, limpbaugh was talkin' trash about the republican candidate and pimping the so called "conservative"..and palin put her 2 cents in.

And Voila!..we get Bill Owens!

That cowboy john rich went up there to campaign for hoffman, also.

2. "A four-year term by McCrazy"

It bears remembering though that despite going blue in the last election, Virginia's still cock full of fundies. It takes turnout from the base to keep them all at bay in the state.

6. No, it's four in Virginia.
They do have the Southern quirk that they don't allow a governor to stand for re-election, though. One term and out.
