The media is pushing the line that the Dem. losses in VA & NJ will turn Bluedogs against HCR
Even though Creigh Deeds was NOT for HCR with a public option, at least saying he may opt OUT if that's what passes, Corzine's loss was due to things unrelated to HCR-like high property taxes and negative campaigning. Owens, who's FOR the Public Option WON, as did the liberal Dem. in CA (I don't know his name). It's crazy to claim we have a liberal media.

1. Deeds lost because the Dem base disliked him and his stance on health care...."opting out"
Such utter crap.

4. And on MSNBC, Monica Nevotny (sp?) just showed a clip of Freshman Dem. from VA,
Rep. Tom Perriello, on Morning Joe this morning telling Joe and Mika that the election moved him CLOSER to voting for HCR because he sees the people want something done, and he doesn't want to be part of the "Party of No," and then Nevotny mischaracterized his statement, saying he said, "I'm gonna do the healthcare thing which might not be that popular, but if I can fix the jobs problem, I can make up for it." Then she asked the strategists what they thought about that. :wtf:

to vote in the numbers needed to win. The logic is simple. Follow it?

15. And they did not show up for Deeds or for Corzine.
That is why the Rethugs won.

2. CNN
is now pushing Bachman's "revolt" against health care. And that she is going to scare the democrats in to deserting the health care bill. And that Obama is screwing up. CNN is trying to outfox Fox. They have dropped to last and very very low. They better watch what they are doing. Look at MSNBC and take a hint. And as for Fox's so called viewer numbers, three different websites have said they are false. Go to CrooksandLiars and see.

6. Yeah...
MSNBC is covering the teabagger rally, but not like CNN. But they ARE pushing the meme that the moderate Dems. were shaken by the election and these teabaggers may scare them away from Obama's agenda.

3. This is just sickening. It's non-stop talk about how the Dems are
scared, they have to distance themselves from President Obama and listen to the people, if they follow the Obama agenda they will lose next year.

CNN and MSNBC are both doing this (I don't even bother to turn to Fox).

They are definitely trying to create they impression that there's a schism between the President's agenda and what's good for 'the people'.

Oh, and 'liberal' MSNBC is breathlessly awaiting coverage of the teabaggers at the Capitol.

5. the media has been trying to defeat health care reform from the start
at least a public option. But you're right these state elections have nothing to do with what is going on in Washington. Deeds ran as a blue dog and was defeated.

8. Creigh Deeds was essentially a blue dog,
and look what happened to him.

If anything, the election results should motivate the blue dogs in Congress to get with the program!

9. By not winning, the Democrats left the vacuum for the GOP to
"crow" about their wins, and yes, since the Blue Dogs never
wanted to do HCI at this time and the Media knew this, the
Media is doing what the Media does--taking the bone and chewing
and growling.

17. Fantastic
Hope this works out as well as the Teabags of August.

My hope is that the media can keep pushing and pushing this crap about scaring the Blue Dogs. But I've seen a couple of them already suggesting it might push them the other way. Let Bachmann and her nuts do their thang. Every time the crazies get front and center, it may push the Dems to go the other way to reinforce that the nuts are nuts, but the Dems are trying to get things done.

Last time you posted Chuck Todd's email address, I emailed him (about his faulty facts re: who would be in the room for the merging of the Senate bills), and he replied. And we had a "back and forth" with about 10 or more emails! He even asked a question to Robert Gibbs inspired by our discussion, he told me!
