Obama is in the press briefing room! He went there to tout the endorsements of AARP and the AMA.

Meanwhile, the nutjobs are outside, lying about the HCR bill.

3. He should have went straight out to the nutjobs |
|
And asked them if they earned less than $80,000 a year; and then told them they were going to get assistance with their premiums. Then he should ask them to raise their hand if they're on Medicare, and told them they're going to get help with the doughnut hole. A lot of those idiots never hear the truth so it's no wonder they don't know they're being lied to.

No one would care if they were shot at.

9. I think it would be so sudden |
|
That no one would have a chance to plan anything, and I think the SS is already watching this group of nutballs or at least they should be.
I am just so sick of the insanity. Then you have Joe Klein saying if the AMA supports the bill, we should probably wonder why. Which might be true but it isn't for the same reasons the nutballs are out there. It's a wonder anything gets accomplished.

10. The people actually protesting are not going to be persuaded by rational arguments |
|
I agree that the President needs to convey that message to a lot of people who simply have never heard the truth. But the tea-baggers aren't people who have never heard the truth. They are simply people who refuse to listen to reason.

13. Many of them have never heard the truth |
|
You would have to turn on something besides Foxsnooze and many of these people never have. We've got to understand that if we're ever going to change some of these red areas. Even if they pick up the newspaper, they just repeat right wing talking points because nobody contacts the local reporter to point out their errors. How are the readers supposed to know anything different?

14. Again I agree, but... |
|
I don't think the people who are carrying signs that compare Obama to Hitler are going to be persuaded by reason. These people a bunch of fringe lunatics. They don't represent average Americans and they don't even represent average red state Americans. Talking to people who haven't heard the truth is a good idea. Talking to a tiny fringe minority is an exercise in futility.

15. Embarrassing them into silence would be good |
|
Maybe if they knew they were going to be challenged they wouldn't be so excited to get out there and make fools of themselves. Some of them are just haters and it would be good to expose that too.
Now MSNBC has the Two Twits saying the public option poll is only 50% to try to pretend there is 50% opposition. And nobody challenges them.
