Why do Conservatives march and protest against themselves?
Like sheep running over a cliff. Do they not realize health care reforms are to protect THEM? These people may lose jobs and have no healthcare - are these the fools who are stepping up the huge costs of going to the emergency room? Perhaps someone should do a survey of how many of these syphon off our budget?

2. There's a historical tradition for this
The rich often get the poor and/or uninformed to work against "the middle". It's a tried and true practice. The desire of the luddites and lemmings to be part of the "power structure"; the desire to remain pure to their uninformed nostalgia-laced life, founded upon shadows and mist--these are too easy for the rich/conservative class to pass up.

Has happened here countless times (union busting) and throughout the world.

4. Dumb!!!!
Found some way to give their lives some excitement and some way to vent their anger that they have no lives and that what lives they do have have no meaning. And, of course, DUMB!

7. Because it's what they have been brainwashed into doing......
With the steady dose of propaganda aka Fox news that these people get fed each day it's no surprise they go out and protest against things that will help them, they are utterly hopeless, it's a pity really.

Propaganda and brainwashing do work and the teabaggers are a prime example of this. You can literally make them believe that up is down, the earth is flat and that the moon is made of cheese.

11. They truly believe they will never be unemployed
You can't get them to admit it would happen to them. They are too frightened by the thought to admit the possibility.

13. They also have that idea that they can just go to the ER
They think that bit of "socialism" is part of what makes this country's health care system "the greatest."

16. I wonder what would happen if they weren't allowed to go to the ER?
people just assume that the people who rely on the ER are all Democrats and they are Black, Latino, poor etc.

19. If ignorance is bliss, these people are dancing in the street...
They have no concept of what it's like for others. First rule, "what's in it for me?" If they can't see the upside of HCR, they've lost already. Many of these clowns are on Medicare already, they have no perception capability if they don't realize that they are already enrolled in a social program...:eyes:
