Well the Republicans are right on one point |

The Health Care bill will result in the loss of jobs -
Redundant useless jobs by health care insurers dedicating to needless accounting, pointless marketing and pointless claim adjusters that no other developed country has to bear.
Just think when we get to single payer all of those high payed executives who were earning their bonuses by denying care that they were legally contracted to perform will be losing their jobs.
Not all jobs are good jobs, the reason that our health care costs are so high is that the system employs millions who have nothing to do with actually providing medical care. Just think of all the lobbyists that will eventually lose their jobs.

1. No it won't, it'll create jobs |
|
The people who have employer covered insurance will still have it. All those jobs will still exist.
There will need to be more jobs to manage the insurance exchange and public option, allocate the subsidies and increased Medicaid. There will also need to be more health care workers to provide actual health care.
I suspect that's just another figure they pulled straight out of their ass.

5. More career path jobs will be created for the number of people need to care for the newly covered |
|
I'm excited about the number of healthcare workers who will need to be trained for the new numbers of people who will have preventative health care.
This will be a massive boost to our economy. These will be well paying, stable jobs for millions.

8. Actually it may create even more jobs. |
|
Right now many would-be entrepreneurs do not leave their present jobs for fear of losing health insurance.
A public option will remove that obstacle to starting up a business.

10. "When we get to single payer" |
|
And how exactly are we going to get there from forced corporate Romneycare?
This is like NAFTA. They'll talk about "fixing it later" but they never have any goddamn intention of doing so.
You think the insurance criminals have too much power now? How will that improve when they have 45 million more reluctant "customers"?

11. Then they'll see what it's like to lose their health insurance coverage. |
