Obamas to attend Fort Hood memorial Tuesday

WASHINGTON, Nov 7 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, will attend a memorial service in Fort Hood, Texas, on Tuesday for victims of a mass shooting.

The White House announced the trip on Saturday. Obama is scheduled to depart on Wednesday on an Asia tour.

scheduled at the convenience of the soldiers' families and that the Prez would delay his Asia trip if necessary.

They put up a blog about POTUS going, questioning if he can "fulfill one particular presidential role, that of "consoler-in-chief."

BTW, the staff writer who wrote the blog, is the same guy who got kicked off Pres Obama's plane back when he was still campaigning for POTUS.
