1. Damn you Dennis Moore!
If you knew his district like I do you'd understand his vote.
I'm sure if it came down to 1 vote he would have voted for the bill

6. And those could have very easily been 24 Republicans voting "no"...
... or rather, the issue would not have even come up in a GOP-controlled Congress.

I would venture to guess that the Blue Dogs, as big of pain in the butt as they can be, HELP the Democratic party more often than they harm it.

Thanks for posting.

Not a fan of his and last I heard he was undecided. Regardless, I'm happy he did the right thing and I will definitely let him know; thank him.

9. if the Blue dogs like it......you can bet they do...since it throws women's health care out...
So..fine Americans that cannot afford insurance?
That's alright with some.
Some say there will be jail time if your cannot buy insurance for whatever reason....
That's alright with some.
I have to wonder if the men would be so frikkin happy if the bill refused to pay for prostate cancer.
I am sure they wouldnt be happy if we said..that's ok..they will whine for a few days......but we got our foot in the door...and maybe someday..we will take care of men's health issues too.

18. Its an interesting line of logic tho i think
If somebody in a faction I dislike voted for it, then its obvious proof that the bill is a bad idea O.o

17. I think we could have had a few more if we'd needed them..
I like Pelosi's political attitude twoards this. Like it or not, some of those Blue Dogs are in districts that are very Red, and they are going to possibly get voted out next election for this vote. Dem's realize this.. and realize that we need to play regional politics.. we can't have super-left winged candidates in every inch of the country.

So, I think there were several Blue Dogs that were told that if they had 218, they could vote "NO" to save their political skin.. but had to vote Yes if needed.

Good play IMO.
