Rep. Kucinich was just on the Ed Schultz show and he
said the White House was for a robust Public Option, but backed off. He said Obama told him he supported a robust Public Option in several meetings. He thinks the democratic party wants to help people, but they are going in the wrong direction on some key issues like bailouts and health care. He complained about the abortion amendment to.

1. Being that the vote we had was so close, with 35 dems defecting
I think that the White House and Pelosi just know how to count to 218. Unfortunately, tying the public option to medicare rates and therefore making it robust probably wouldn't have led to the bill's passage.

2. 14 democratic senators in the senate are against the public Option.
This bill horrendously worse after the senate is finished with it.

3. I know he was
that's why I switched to a music station as soon as he came on.

I now treat Kucinich like I do Lieberman because there is precisely zero difference between the two of them.

4. Yeah, that abortion thing---DK was anti-choice before he decided to run for Pres back in the day.
He has no creds regarding that issue, or his "I am always right" mentality.

Yes, MOST in the Democratic Party do want to help people, but DK would rather get 100% of what HE wants or to hell with everybody else.

6. He should STFU and let the insurance industry and conservatives run things.

They'll get something accomplished that Kucinich can't achieve. A health care bill written by the insurance industry and big Pharma that will stick it to working people .... if that's what you really want.
