1. It really depends on how you define it.
There's a big section of them that fall into the "abortion sucks but isconstitutionally protected" category--they don't want to ban it, but they also feel strongly that the government shouldn't participate in it, even remotely by funding.

2. The number of Americans supporting abortion rights with no restrictions is pretty low.
About 75-80% support some level of legal restrictions on it. Only about 15% support a total ban. Most people fall somewhere in the middle.

3. Who told them they were boss and could do what they want
Regardless of what has been said...the majority of women want access to abortion services. And it is about time congress realized that they are only there to serve the PUBLIC...THEY ARE PUBLIC SERVANTS. They don't get to do what THEY WANT, they get to do what the Public wants.

7. And why aren't they protesting the execution.....
.... of John Allen Muhammad tonight? (or anyone else for that matter.)

I've been reading the Bible longer than I've been reading anything else and NO WHERE did Christ say it was ok to kill sometimes and not others. The hypocrisy with which they flaunt their so-called Christianity is foul.

5. I'm both---I advocate pro-life leanings. However, I firmly believe in the mother's choice.
That being said, I'm overall pro-choice but if I am asked advice I push pro-life decisons.

6. Another example of the party's center right swing in the last 30 years.
despite the population holding steadily pro choice.

Is Public Opinion Changing on Abortion?

A new survey from Pew Research which suggests that a declining number of Americans support the option of abortion in all or most cases is receiving a fair amount of attention. But is there actually any evidence that public sentiments on abortion are changing?
In my opinion, probably not -- and if there is change in public opinion, it is occurring very slowly.
