Even if Hillary would have won.. it was a matter of time before she didn't immidiately overturn DADT, re-write the law for all GLBT's to immidiately be able to marry in all 50 states, and make it illegal to pollute anything.

Conservatives have been trying to corner the market on brainless cheering for the military in all circumstances no matter what for a while. The soldiers are demi-gods and we must worship them every now and again etc. etc. All to try and build the image as being a super-patriotic uber American. "Real" Americans. And so when the president gives a speech on Veteran's Day, you treat it like the solemn occasion it is by actually not playing politics for once, but of course, the fealty that the right wing shows to the military industrail complex is all politics.
