1. Why is Obama meeting about this?! The new President aka CBS told DU he made a decision.
And all the DUers ran amok saying it was true and Obama is a warmonger.

If it's the laughing one...I can't bring myself to let it go because it is fantastic.

14. Sent troops before. We're talking about now the decision he has yet to make.
CBS claim he did...he has not and has said as much. Even his people, who are rarely on the same page, have confirmed as much and you're claiming he's made the decision currently to send in more troops? Because that is what I'm talking about.

16. Are you claiming he's not sending more troops?
More to the point, do you think he should send more troops?

18. He hasn't committed to anything yet and I'm unsure if I want him too.
I want to leave a level of stability in this nation. I do remember reading what we did in Grenada and Pakistan. We went in and ravaged the nation and then left them to pick up the pieces. Keep in mind that did not bode well for us in the world standing. You don't go into the nation, fuck it up and say well---sorry but we're going to go now. We fucked up. Well you have to find a way to help these people because the mess we put them in is worse than the mess they were in before and that's on us. We do have a responsibility there, that we went in. And because of that I would support an increase because I want nation-building and such. However, I also know that Afghanistan is a nation killer and it is nearly impossible or just impossible to get anything done. It's being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

5. I recall that in all pics of BUSH in the Situation Room, he was never speaking.
It's refreshing to have a president who's involved in the process as serious as war.

17. Ha! They think that they are playing with a child
I of course am responding to the breaking news tonight that President Obama has rejected all of the proposals and insists that any plan that he goes with must include a strategy to leave Afghanistan . Eat that Pentagon!

:woohoo:
