Kerry is so much better than Gore; and Gore beat W!

Sorry if there are any hard-core Gore fans, and I did support Gore of course, but Gore NEVER did anything even remotely as killer as this to w.

IMHO, Kerry is SMARTER than Gore, he is more SINCERE than Gore, and he is less of a smarty-pants than Gore (who would have looked foolish getting all in w's face when w broke all those "rules" about the debate -- I liked how Kerry just rolled with everything, didn't get flustered).

I was sincerely awed by Kerry. He brought it tonight.

That helps out..Bush had no record and so the debate revolved around Clinton Gore policies.. Bush was able to pander to everyone since no one knew where he really stood.. Now everyone has seen his record and knows what a miserable failure he is..

3. Gore is VERY Smart

My own guess he would've been a 1-termer b/c of the political climate, he would've been an excellent president redeemed by history.

But you're right to an extent. I disagree that Kerry is smarter than Gore - Clinton, Gore, and Kerry are ALL very smart and I think they were both sincere. However, you're right that Kerry is, I believe, a stronger overall candidate than Gore.

It's too early to declare this race a Kerry victory, and certainly he could lose. But I'm confident, and I think people give Kerry way too much shit about his performance and his campaign. He's a much stronger candidate than people give him credit for.

4. I think Gore was smart in a teacher's pet kind of way

just thinking back to the debates in 2000, I seem to remember him kind of complaining to the moderators when bush broke the rules, whereas Kerry seemed to play things cool and calm and not be nitpicky.

And not to be unfair to Gore, I think he was a good guy and would have done well as president (certainly better than w), but I see something extra in Kerry.
