What the heck did Kerry mean when he said he saw KGB files underneath Treblinka Square?

Clarify this for me please.

He also said that he never "wilted" or wavered. I think that was over the top.

But in general, he was spot-on. And Bush melted down.

JK said he was one of the first senators to go to Moscow and visit the former KGB station (probably HQ) beneath ___________ Square and see the names the KGB had on file, etc.

I thought it was a high point because it followed Bush trying to establish himself as some kind of kissin cousin with Vladamurr (so he knows about all that international stuff). Kerry, by contrast, is the real thing.
