Dick "Toe Sucker" Morris claims * won on 'substance'
I think he's got too much toe jam clouding his judgement.

"Dick Morris, a FOX News analyst who once advised former President Bill Clinton, said Bush won on substance while Kerry did better on style"

1. Substance? In what dimension?
Bush just strung together goofy platitudes that weren't even informed by comments Kerry had just made. Kerry, OTOH, tailored his remarks perfectly to every gaffe Bush stepped into.

3. What was the substance?
Reciting the same tired talking points again and again? Maybe Morris meant that Bush repeated himself more than Kerry-and with that I agree. Shrub wouldn't know a fresh original idea if it hit him in the head!

4. Indeed he did
...if the "substance" to which Morris was referring is a great steaming pile of caca. I could not agree more.

5. Bush was struggling to put a sentence together in the last 20 minutes

of the debate. And when he did have an answer up until then, about all he was doing was parroting his "you can't change your position" and "being president is hard work."

It was funny watching Bush when they split the screen during Kerry's responses. Bush was always leaning away, like he was trying to avoid Kerry's answer. His lips were pinched tight like he was about to spit. As for his eyes, Bush usually had that dumb chimp-staring-in-the-headlights expression.

Kerry was calmer, made his points and came across as more "presidential." Bush was tense and defensive.

I think Karl Rove may have over-spiked Bush's Kool-Aid before he went on the air.
