Poll question: Did anyone else think Bush was having a mental breakdown during debate
He started repeating himself, rambling and coming up with a defense to the ICC (which incidentally wants to try him) when no one had mentioned the ICC but him.

12. He came off like a shrill, pissed off old school marm.
He acted like he was ticked off that he had to defend any of his positions. Everyone else is wrong but the idiot prince.

2. No, just showing his incompetence. You can be unqualified for the job and
still not have a clinical disorder.

3. I think the world was seeing what Rove has been trying to keep from view
for a long time. The guy has some psychological/neurological issue going on. No wonder he's postponed his annual physical until after the election.

I asked my sister if it was just me or did he seem more strange or more off than usual. The man has lost it.

5. I think Bush is suffering from a medical condition.. seriously.
There is something wrong with him, and he refuses to take his physical until after the election. THAT should be a MAJOR flag to the media, and merits discussion (not like we'll get it). Bush looked ill.. what's with the twitching and blinking, he never used to do that.

7. Bush CHOKED
In over his head, no minders to assist him, no adoring audience to whoop at his laugh lines, no defense for his egregious policies, no CLUE.

10. I noticed he
kept addressing the audience like he was waiting for them to applaud or to laugh at something he said trying to be funny. Sorry Bushie, no audience tonight. :D

9. Just the facial expressions
said it all. It was like he just couldn't control it. This was unscripted and during his speech at their convention he didn't do this when he had the script. He just can't function without the lines in front of him.

I didn't think he was going to make it for the full 90 minutes. Obviously I was wrong. They must have done one hell of a job adjusting his medications.

14. I think the pressure inside his small brain is too much for him.
If things keep going this way, he's gonna completely lose it. Maybe start drinking again.

17. He clearly can't function unscripted
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 12:57 PM by rocknation
In a room containing hundreds, he seemed totally alone.

And after all the talk about Kerry's tan, I thought Bush was the one who looked kind of orange (I watched on C-span). I also noticed that he cocked his head a couple of times as if he was listening to something--or trying to?

19. I believe they call them "brainfarts"
Those long pauses where he couldn't think of something to say a couple of times.

I ALMOST felt bad for him.
