If Fox wants to be considered a news site, then they should not allow such blatent bias.

3. I think he should be fired for pretending to be a reporter |
|
and for pretending he has no conflict of interest when his wife is a big-time Bush campaign worker.
The prank was very revealing, though. They should Dan Rather him for offering a forged document.

I am not so sure he should be fired, but he should be removed from covering the Kerry campaign for sure.
If a Democrat did something about the same we would not want him to be fired for it.
Cameron should be punished, but fired might be a little harsh.

They wanted the head of Dan Rather, and this is just as bad, if not worse. At least Rather's docs had basis in fact where Cameron just decided to make stuff up. Fire him now!

If they can skewer Dan Rather for attempting to be a responsible and ethical journalist, then fire this guy's ass for being as imbecile and a liar. Mistake my ass!

16. Kerry Campaign Should Ban Him |
|
Kerry should ban him from campaign events. They don't have to make a big ruckus over it, just tell Fox that Carl will no longer be allowed inside campaign venues and that they can send another reporter with some journalistic standards. Then let Fox explain why Carl is doing the weather.

25. Cameron's not the problem.Don't they have any adult supervision at FOX? |
|
Since when does a reporter's prank get into public view? Doesn't FOX have editors? Doesn't anyone approve copy before it goes on air or onto the website? Who controls the editorial content?
For a crowd that trashed Dan Rather for not vetting his story carefully enough, the media is awfully quiet about FOX allowing completely unfiltered information to make it onto their website.

26. He's not the only problem, but Cameron most certainly IS a prob too |
|
This isn't just some reporter, he's the chief political correspondent for a major news network. That's a big hairy deal. I agree that the lack of adult supervision over there is also a problem. "Fatigue" is not an excuse for this to happen.

I shouldn't have said that Cameron's not the problem. He certainly is a problem. But if FOX had some checks and balances, it wouldn't matter.
