Vanity Fair:DOUBT ON 9/11 'SHOOTDOWN' ORDER
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 09:52 AM by DropTheGloves
It seems an article in Vanity Fair points to more deception

October 5, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — Vice President Dick Cheney may not have had the proper authority to issue orders to shoot down commercial aircraft on Sept. 11, according to a new account of the deadly day.

The account in Vanity Fair magazine is partly based on interviews with some staff and members of the 9/11 commission who raise doubts about whether the vice president had received the shootdown authority from President Bush before he gave the order.

Just who exactly is in charge around here?

9. Weird, isn't it?
At first it makes me think I'm in an alternate reality. Then I remember that the NY Post and Faux News have been in the alternate reality and are creeping back into the real world. I've given up expecting honest news from them and then THIS happens! It's all very confusing!

Unless he was running the operation from an undisclosed location.

5. Well, of course he had the authority --
As VP he's supposed to step up to the plate if the president is incapacitated. It's obvious from 'The Pet Goat' that Bush was totally incapacitated with TERROR, leaving the responsibility with Darth Cheney.

bush was the only one that could give that order.

cheney denied giving it

rumsfield told the jets to stand down

this is what we know. until after the hit on the pentagon.

10. The 9/11 Commission book repeated
bush's words and cheney's words and just left it hanging out there. One was left with the distinct impression (maybe just me) that Cheney never got permission to do the shootdown but they both lied about it. I think somewhere mixed up in this is Mr. Maneta & Maneta still has a job - is it what he knows? Interviews and Woodward's books would lead one to believe other than the 9/11 Commission report and what bush/cheney said.

12. That brings up a debate point whether they use this particular info
or not. Edwards needs to stress that he will be there for Kerry to do what is ever asked of him; BUT that he will not, and Kerry will never let him, be the puppetmaster who runs the presidency from behind the curtain. Let the public know that Bush has been a puppet for 3 years.
