That 70s Democrat (photo challenge)

OK, time for some deep background checks on our candidates. What goofy things were they wearing in the 1970s? Who had a mullet? Who had a fro? Bonus points if you can find either a picture of a candidate flashing a peace sign or a quote in which they use the word "groovy". Let the self inflicted wounds begin.

This challenge was inspired by this YaleDem sigfile picture of Johnny Edwards "doing his own thing" with his sweet mama in, I'm guessing, 1974. Very Groovy. Totally keen, man. Like wow.
