Just because he claims Saddam was linked to Al Qaeda is NOT THE SAME as saying Saddam was linked to 9/11.

It's true that cheney continues to assert a connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda. But it is possible for a person to have a connection to another person or group of persons without being involved in a particular action that person or group of persons takes.

What cheney has done, more than likely, is to IMPLY the Saddam and 9/11 are linked, and many people too lazy to see the difference have INFERRED that Saddam was behind 9/11, but did cheney actually make the explicit -- rather than implicit -- connection?
