online polls lopsided: Edwards demolished Cheney
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 11:05 PM by cmorea
It looks like the online polls are just as much pro-Edwards as last Thursday's were pro-Kerry. Could this be another sign of the underestimated interest in this election by the internet generation?

And, that they will go for Kerry in a landslide?

Look at these numbers from CNN's online poll:

Who do you think won the vice presidential debate?

Dick Cheney 18% 31888 votes
John Edwards 78% 137991 votes
Evenly matched 4% 7950 votes
Total: 177829 votes

There just are not that many people at DU. This must be the voice of the people.

2. Considering the numbers of people voting in the online polls
I think both of you are correct.

3. CBS scientific poll has Edwards crushing Cheney in undecideds
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/09/08/politics/main641817.shtml

A CBS News poll of 178 uncommitted voters found that 41 percent said Edwards won the debate, versus 28 percent who said Cheney won. Thirty-one percent said it was a tie.

A majority of uncommitted voters came away from the debate believing that both men could be an effective president if needed. More of those surveyed (76 percent) said they liked Edwards personally than said they liked Cheney (53 percent).

4. Have all the freepers died, that's the only way I can explain this, or
they only voted on Faux.

5. Cheney didn't answer the questions.
He lied--flat out lied on any number of things. And the American people are a lot smarter than we give them credit for being. I think they saw that tonight during this debate. He avoided answering questions, he had not clear cut plans for the next four years-for the future of this country.
