Was this a Nixon/Kennedy debate?
Radio listeners all thought Nixon won, but on television Kennedy won overwhelmingly. This debate was TV, and who was Nixon tonight? Cheney, to say the least, was not appealing on the screen -- some would say downright scary. If Kerry was tan, Cheney was white as a sheet. Add to that, all the doomsday terror talk, the nugget about El Salvador. Asked about a divided country, Cheney thought he was being asked about the halls of Congress.

Edwards looked and sounded great, was articulate, and knew his stuff. He was especially good in the second part, when he could talk about real-life, real-people issues. I think, on the screen where it counts, he was a winner.

1. YES

I listened to it on the radio and FU came off much better in my view.

Edwards was too "talking point", said "we have a plan" far too many times.

Because I am a big Edwards fan, I really focused on him and he was sharp when he debunked crap about Kerry voting against bills which Edwards then said FU voted against them as well...and oh yea, all this other shit (Head Start, MLK Day) as well.

Cheney sounded confident and in command. Edwards, while obviously sharp, sounded a bit more scattered at times. He had some great comments like I said, but FU was more consistent.

Then I get home and polls are showing JE blowing away FU. It is obvious that Cheney is such a repulsive human being and he wreaks of corruption and evil that normal humans can't help to draw on a certian amount of disdain for the man.

2. My letter to the editors
John Edwards spoke believable truth. Cheney clearly misrepresented the truth and this administration does not have the ability to level with the American people . Articulate with wording especially when the american people know that it is a lie, does not a winner make.

It was also the writer's opinion that Cheney was grumpy and was not even cordial to the Senator. What do you expect from a man who uses the F word when addressing senators?

3. Yes... absolutely.
Cheney looked worse and worse as time went by.. and paler, too. He got so white near the middle.
