October Surpise
Everyone's wondering what the October Surprise will be. Well, I just had a thought: George H.W. Bush dies. Think about it. Big State funeral, massive news coverage, Kerry can't get a word in edgewise...Solidifies the base and garners enough sympathy votes from undecideds to put Shrub over the top... And, the beauty part of it is, no one would DARE question it, no one could be EVIL enough to purposefully off their OWN FATHER (whom Shrub HATES) just to win the election. I can see it now, W calls up his Dad:

"Dad, KKKarl says we're down in the polls, sorry, but it's time for you to go, say hey to Millie, will ya'?"

I think it's entirely feasible. Don't "misunderestimate" the depths to which the BFEE will sink. And HW IS a very old man...

5. Yeah, right.
When Saint Reagan himself passed on, it didn't register so much as a blip for Chimpy. Poppy kicking it would probably just remind people of how out of touch and wimpy the Bush clan is.

8. Say what you will about Reagan...
Reagan is WORSHIPPED by Republicans. Nobody worships Poppy Bush. Yes, there would be coverage - but not 24 hours a day of ecstacy for a whole week like there was with Reagan.

Tenant just resigned from CIA and the media was on a feeding frenzy, Suddenly the news was full of Reagan for more than a week!
