4. AU Dems Named Organization of the Year

I don't have enough posts of my own to post this as its own thread, but I thought this would brighten your spirits:

The Auburn University College Democrats were recently named Organization of the Year by Auburn's Student Government Association. Specifically focusing on their efforts to help out a family in need during the holidays by selling dozens of scarves made by AUCD members, the Auburn SGA presented this award on Sunday, February 20th, at their annual year-end banquet.

The Auburn College Democrats have had an amazing year, moving from about 200 members to over 1,100 in just a few months. They have sold hundreds of Tshirts to AU students, provided help to several campaigns, sent students to Florida to help out the Kerry campaign, had several hundred students show up at their huge "Proud to be a Democrat" Day event last fall, and have become a more prevalent presence on Auburn's campus than the College Republicans. Auburn's newspaper, The Plainsman, has covered this very active club in every single issue of the paper since last August.

I thought I had read where AU was the 2nd or 3rd most conservative school in the nation? What ever you're doing, your doing a great job.

I'm 17 y/o and feel like I don't have another teenage Democrat within 100 miles of me. ;)
