I am not the author but I know him. He had another letter published in Alabama's Birmingham Post Herald yesterday. That's real activism.

It is amazing how many Democrats are being suckered in by psychological rhetoric. There is a political ploy by the Republicans to make the Democrats feel they are out of the mainstream with America.

They use gay marriage, Roe v. Wade and stem cell research to brainwash the public by making them believe Democrats support these issues to the fullest. They are so good at this game that many Democrats have taken their eyes off of the real agenda of this administration.

The Democrats only need to feed the public with truth about what is important to all citizens of this country diplomacy, not threats of confrontation; peace, not war; balanced budgets, not deficits; and most of all, truth and not lies.

Liberalism is Christ-like. Let people come to moral high ground; don't make them come. It is immoral to condemn abortion and support unjust wars and the death penalty. Christ abhors both.

Democrats must not let the Republicans misuse Scripture to explain their bloodthirsty war mongering. Let it be known that the Social Security issue is a smokescreen to divert people's attention from the weapons of mass destruction issue. Democrats must stay focused on America and its citizens and stress the need to have good relations with other nations.

The "bully" mentality can only last so long. The United States can't fight the rest of the world alone. Allies are very important.
