5. Uhhh...
We've had a Democratic Congressman, Bud Cramer, for years. He's a Blue Dog, for sure, but we'll take what we can get.

3. Hell, I thought they were all kissing his a**.
There's also 7 facilities in Ga. on the list. I can't believe Shrub is pi**ed off at Isacson or Chambliss, and most of our hose members are pubs too, and NONE of them are moderates!

I'm very surprised at the Story on Alabama. I didn't think there was a redder state, unless maybe a tie with Miss.

Guess we'll have to see how many of these stand.

4. Yea, It Sucks
I live in Mobile, luckily "slightly" more liberal than the rest of the state. I don't get it myself, but lets just say the national delusion, the brainwashing that goes on nationwide works even better here.
We're atop the worst lists, on the bottom of the good ones, and yet we still vote for Republicans. We get more federal money than most states, usually instituted by Democrats, we have the worst public education, usually supported by Democrats. We have nearly the lowest wages in the country, and perhaps the highest number of poor, in competition with SC, MS, and perhaps LA. Yet our stupid state's population keeps on voting for the party that is slightly worse than Democrats.
As long as our media isn't free, and is simply touting the corporate pentagon line, we'll all be brainwashed to some extent, against our best interests. I only see the signs saying that this will become stronger.
Hope remains though, I see signs that more people are waking up each day to the fact that the corporate media is just an arm of government propaganda, a new Ministry of Propaganda for the current Nazi regime in office.
Riley, our governor also tried to pass some much-needed tax increases that were actually better for the poor, but our stupid public didn't realize that and voted against it.
We also top the list for collection of state taxes at the poorest point, we start collecting at $4600 of income, incredibly low. Recently KY, which was near us, raised the lowest limit to ten grand. Collecting taxes from those who earn half the poverty wages is ridiculous.
Most of this information applies not just to Alabama, but to almost all southern states. It would seem we are poor, stupid, and worst of all, proud of that.
