As I think I said before, on some random thread that seems to have disappeared for no good reason, I respect people who are willing to admit their guilty pleasures in public.

Who the heck cares that so many here think American Idol is tripe? Most of them have never deigned to watch it, so ya know, I'm not real impressed by their long distance analysis.

and I really like Bo. He seems like a nice guy, and he sings the kind of southern rock I like. And as a child of the 70's, I love his hair. Yum.

But he didn't really lose either. He's definitely going to get a record deal. And he got a really sharp Mustang.

He does seem like a nice fellow. Carrie seems real nice too. I wish them both the best of luck. But I really did think Bo was the most talented. Carrie was often "pitchy," to use Randy Jackson's euphemism for off-key. I think Bo would've been better-served to have performed three rock songs, instead of one rocker and two ballads. I think his performance of "Vehicle" was great. (But, hey, I also BIZARRELY thought that Clay Aiken's rendition of some Beatles song was better than the original -- I forget the song.) Just my opinion.

Seriously, Bo is from Helena in Shelby County. Every damn business in Helena that has a sign says, "Go Bo," "Vote for Bo," "Bo Rocks," etc. etc. ad nauseum.
