QUOTE
Iraq war not worth lives lostIt appears that we are a nation where censorship is becoming a common practice to protect the current administration's faults, past and present. We read daily where our fighting men and women are being killed, maimed or missing in Iraq.
We have received reports via the media that there has been ill treatment of prisoners and improprieties at Guantanamo, Afghanistan and in Iraq.
There is a relentless effort to exonerate President Bush and his administration in the failed policies in Iraq and in our own country. Americans with a conscience should not continue to support the loss of lives of our troops for an egotistical war monger who has not a child in the military.
The time has come for Americans to apply pressure to this administration to find a quick solution to its failed policy in Iraq. A personal vendetta against a brutal dictator is not a sufficient reason to have our sons and daughters pay the ultimate sacrifice. Democracy in Iraq is not worth the life of one military person when the president embraces other such governments.
None of us should have a problem with the pull-out of our troops from Iraq immediately. This is an illegal war, criminally contrived and executed by a president who has duped too many Americans who have not the intestinal fortitude to rebuke this immoral war, waged for reasons that change as often as the president wishes.
