Harri Anne Smith is looking more like a gubernatorial candidate.

She has updated her Web site. She has formed a campaign committee. And she has attracted the attention of Alabama Republican heavyweights.
Avondale Mills heiress Mignon Smith recently made a sizable donation to Smith's campaign. Prominent Republican John Greiner has been mailing letters to donors on her behalf. A recent survey by longtime activist Elbert Peters trumpeted her conservative voting record.
