We've got a lot of good potential candidates to choose from this time around. I like Edwards, though his Iraq vote was a BIG mistake. I also like Clark, Gore, and Obama. I'm not too thrilled with Hillary. I could live with her as president -- she'd be a huge improvement over W, but I just don't see her beating anyone from the Republican side, unless John Ellis Bush somehow gets the nomination.
It's exciting, because our primary votes might actually mean something this time around. You know, I'm thinking that Obama might be the favorite to win our primary.
Anyway, here's the whole article on Edwards, since it's only three paragraphs long.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Supporters are planning a Jan. 19 fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, and it probably won't be the only time the former vice presidential nominee is in Alabama before the 2008 primary.
Montgomery attorney Gibson Vance, a longtime Edwards supporter, said the event will be held in Birmingham. "Alabama's been very good to him in fundraising," said Vance. "He'll be back several times." Vance participated in a conference call with Edwards on Wednesday night.
He said Edwards has raised about $900,000 in Alabama over the past three years, with much of it coming from fellow trial lawyers. Edwards was the running mate of Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry in 2004.
