Just for fun, Who would you like to see Obama choose as
his VP? I think Richardson would be a great choice. It would cement the hispanic vote and insure us a win in NOV. Besides, he is imminently qualified. What are your thoughts?

1. sounds good to me

I was trying to think of someone better. Off the top, I can't. I like Feingold and Dodd but we need to keep them in the Senate.

But I wonder how much Richardson would really help with the Hispanic vote? I know he's half-Latino, but he doesn't seem very half-Latino, if you know what I mean.

I can't really think of anyone better. If he wins, I hope Obama appoints Edwards to the AG spot, and sics him on the current crop of criminals! We can't let this band of thieves and perverts get away Scot free. We simply cannot!

2. After JE stopped campaigning...
I wanted him as the VP, but then I started thinking it through. Barack more than likely already has all the southern vote that hes gonna get. JE wont get him very many new voters in the South, that he doesn't already have. On the other hand, JE will/would make a great AG. Richardson will greatly improve Barack's chances of upping his hispanic vote AND is so very experienced that he will be an excellent VP.

3. I agree
And I think Richardson could help generally in the West, not just with Latinos.

I think you are correct, but would be interested in hearing from anyone who thinks they have a better VP suggestion.

4. Definitely not a Democratic Senator! Well, there are a few who need to go . . .
Wes Clark, perhaps, or him for SOS. (He can't be SOD for a few years after his retirement from the Army.) Why not John Edwards? Not HRC! Good Lord, keep her in NY and on the Senate floor as a back bencher. . .

Off the top of my head: Phil Bredesen, Louise Slaughter, and a few other names come to mind.

My personal favorite: Henry Rollins! He would make the neocons left in DC look like a gang of 3rd graders trying to beat up a single kindergartener, with him as self-appointed fifth grade enforcer of play ground decorum!

Richardson is probably a good choice, fluent en español, UN ambassador, governor, etc.

7. Richardson
After looking at everything he is almost a lock for first choice and would cripple McCain's need to pick anyone other than a Crisp. Neither candidate can profit much from conciliating picks, more charisma etc.
A "youthful" GOP choice could get eaten alive by Richardson.

8. Nice...
Your absolutely right. Richardson brings all the intangables and has a hardcore following in many swing states (could also help win the South West. Seems like a no-brainer.

13. just for fun...vp pick
It should not be a woman. That would give rise to
southern/other fantasmic ideas and alienate many
toothless-wonders(if they vote at all). It should not be a
minority for obvious poltical reasons. Jim Webb could bring
Va. along for the ride, but he is not well-known. But he
could be a good choice for his experience in Defense. Mark
Clark, if not DoD, then I think would be the best over-all
choice for either candidate for obvious reasons. Evan Bayh
would definitely be on the final list.

It is a strange desire which men have, to seek power and lose
liberty.

14. I think Richardson would be great, but...
I gotta go with my heart and go with Dodd. He's a guy who spoke so passionately about our constitution and the rule of law that we need somebody like that a heartbeat away from the presidency. If nothing else he should be a serious candidate for AG.
