I think maybe that the Alabama Democratic Party could learn from Nick Saban.
I don't know a lot about Coach Saban's politics, but he has stated that his best friend is the current (or recent) West Virginia governor. I don't really follow state politics in WV very closely, but the governor he talked about is a Democrat.
Alabama Democratic politicians should always do the correct thing. Stand on principle, and have a belief that the correct way will win out over time. Tolerate the tedious tasks that are part of the "process." And keep driving toward the goal relentlessly.
And a bit of advice for the ADP: It's okay to talk about the fact that Coach Saban's best buddy is a Democratic governor.
People in this state take college football seriously. Probably more seriously than they should. But I think that the people in charge of the Alabama Democratic Party should be charged with crimes against the people if they don't try to find some way to use our National Championship in our battle against the Old Guard.
Just throwing out an idea, after an exciting game and eight beers. :)
