Each day we keep dodging the bullet as far as Gulf Shores and Orange Beach beaches. Now the slick appears to be moving to the west, away from us and towards the Louisiana coastline. Bad for them, good for us.
I think it's inevitable that this will eventually severely affect the seafood and tourism industries down here. It's already begun to. Some fishing (shrimping and oystering also) areas are closed. A few vacationers are canceling reservations. I think it's going to get a lot worse. We'll see.

So sad about the spill. But I'm glad no tar is on your shores at this time.
