more news from the Benson campaign. When we were in volunteering today, we heard from her campaign manager that some surveys are showing Diane down by only 10 percentage points, which is really good with a month left to go in the campaign and considering that this is 100 percent grass roots. Contributions are steadily rolling in and the momentum is building. Today Diane got $4200 in the mail for the campaign, which is much more (obviously) than the $1500 or so that she's been pulling in daily. Alice Welling, formerly of the Fly-By-Night Club, has made a very hilarious campaign ad for Diane which will be airing on the radio shortly. Alice plays Don Young, so you can imagine...

Once again, let me encourage you all to sign the online petition asking for national help. I think we can do this. Dream of a a U.S. Congress without Don Young in it. There now, doesn't that make you feel better?

Ken Burch, I heard your name mentioned today, but I don't know in what context. I don't think it was bad. :)

None on the gubanatorial candidate, or on any of the other races ... that's GREAT to hear!!

I'm telling you though --- I live in the Hillside area and there are signs all over the place for Diane!!

This is the first race I can recall where he wasn't out there polling.. I haven't heard his name mentioned, but I sure miss him!

I was sort of feeling like I was talking to myself here. :) I'm glad to hear about the yard signs up where you live. I'm starting to feel more positive all the time. Diane is just such a great candidate, I really really want her to win.

Somebody needs to tell the DCCC about those surveys. A ten point gap can be beaten in a month.
Hubert Humphrey went from 13 points behind Nixon in early October of '68 to a near dead heat on Election Day. Somebody needs to tell Tony to finally stop ignoring Diane and endorsing her as well.

5. I don't fully trust Tony

Why hasn't he said anything about the past election? It is quite possible that he should be in the senate right now. How can Alaska move on with another election after what happened last time???
