Vote Halcro/Von Gemmingen -------> GET Palin/Parnell
Alaskan DU'ers please remember..

Halcro has run a slick ad campaign transforming himself into the "Independent" who has stayed above the partisan bickering during this campaign.

But also remember - Andrew Halcro has been a REPUBLICAN his entire life and will run as a REPUBLICAN during the next Gubanatorial race (unless Palin God forbin wins) then he'll likely wait out the next 8 years before he runs again.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Fay Von Gemmingen is also an incredibly partisan REPUBLICAN. She was a nightmare for Anchorage when she was on the Assembly and we still cherish the day she resigned and moved out to the Valley!!

Both are running as INDEPENDENTS for the sake of this campaign race --- PERIOD.

Halcro's ads are commendable. But remember who you're benefitting if you vote for him during THIS particular election.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Frank handed the U.S. Senate seat to his daughter and Diebold made certain she'd keep that seat. Please don't help Palin win and give Alaska another 4 years of Republican HELL.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Please THINK about the consequences of this election.

the BEST TEAM for Alaska!

1. Okay, okay, I'm hearing you, Larissa...
I'll be appropriately stern with my wayward husband.

4. The debate...
My take on it...

Halcro-

Best moments: His comments about Ramona Barnes, his statement that religion has no place in politics, and the way he pressed Palin to answer his questions. Smooth talker.

Worst moments: Trying to convince viewers that managing a four-story Avis Car Rental was ample experience for negotiating a gas line.. Also, his off-the-wall plan for using OUR dividend checks for running state government. Sorry Andy, but the elephant started showing through the independent costume when you started on the PFD.

Palin-

Best moments: None

Worst moments: She tries to weasel out of answering questions by rambling on about everything except for what she's been asked. She didn't seem to realize that the Governor will play a roll in negotiating a gas pipe line. But like she kept saying "When I'm elected, I'll hire the best person to handle it" Her attempts to smear Tony backfired EVERY---SINGLE---TIME. I almost felt sorry for her when people started to laugh.. but then, I realize the stakes if she's elected and realized it was for the best. She's not ready for prime time and if you saw the Parnell debate, you'd be scared $hitless to trash your vote by handing it to Halcro.

In short, she SUCKED. From talking to a LOT of people today.. everyone --- even one time Palin supports --- felt the same way.

Knowles-

Best moments: Despite any attempts from Palin to catch him in a "gotcha" of some sort, he was as cool as the center seed of a cucumber! His responses were so eloquent and clear, that it made Palin's questions sound completely absurd. His explanations to both Halcro and Palin's questions were spot on and neither of them came back with rebuttals---EVER.

He reminds me of Wes Clark when he talks --- extremely intelligent and NEVER boring! He was a popular Governor for good reason. And remember --- he was a popular Governor when oil was at $9.00 a barrel. I'm so excited for Tony and Ethan to get the chance to take the helm with oil over $50 a barrel, but I seriously worry about the persnickety voters who have to find some minute reason to cast a protest vote which will likely favor Palin in the long-run.

Tony is ready to lead. He's got what it takes!

Worst moments: None.

We're already losing Eric Croft in Juneau. Please don't waste a vote that will give you and I Palin and Parnell!! If Tony isn't elected ---- we also lose Ethan.

That's Eric, Ethan and Tony.

How much you wanna bet Tony and Ethan will appoint Eric as Alaska State Attorney if they get elected? I see both Eric and Andrew in their administration.

Anyway.. that was my take on the debate.. Oh, and I think Palin's "Anchorage Daily Knowles" comment was lame.

By the way ~~ Welcome Aboard Ahgoo!!! We normally have quite a few Alaskans in here.. but lately it's kinda-sorta just been Blue, Ken and I.

The more, the merrier!!!

Thanks for the welcome Larissa and Blue too. I've been lurking for awhile.

I hadn't considered the possible inclusion of Eric in the Tony admin. This alone cinches it for me and I am now happy to vote for Tony. I adore Ethan but am thrilled with Eric. I always learn new things when I listen to others.

During the debate I thought Halcro, even with his goofy ideas, was the best speaker. He had a fearlessness (?) in his answers that was evident. Sarah was terrified and terrifying. Tony was very good but artfully dodge a couple of questions.

This next week will be interesting!

but lets face it...he has to be a little bit slippery...he has to satisfy the greenies....he has to satisfy big oil...he has to satisfy Native Alaskans...and he has to satisfy me...

there is no way in hell he can do all that and not piss everyone off...slippery is just part of the job description...
