Someone told me Diane Benson announced at the rally last Saturday that she will run again against our buddy Don.

For all of you who were there - did you hear this?

Hoping it is so. Please let it be true.

1. Rumor 'round the Rinks (local ice rinks) is that Eric Croft is running too..

Not sure if it's true or not, but that's what the hockey community is saying -- and they know him well.

I love Diane and hope she does run, but I have a feeling that Eric would royally kick the old man's ass!!

2. We heard it right out of her mouth

into our ears, and we signed on to help with the campaign. She was fired up, even more than last time.

4. That's a good idea.

We should be hearing from her soon, so I'll invite her on. It seemed like she wanted to get an early start this time, to kind of pick up where she left off in November. We were building such momentum, it almost seemed like if the election had been held in December, she might have won. I still find it so remarkable that she picked up 40 percent of the vote with almost NO money. She really resonates with people once they spend a little time with her.

As soon as Diane gets an office set up here, I'll be on board. I think she is one of the best, most self-sacrificing, intelligent etc. out there - and I think she can kick Don's ass.
