1. I've been dancing on the rooftops since the indictments came

down on Koering, et al -

and now this wonderful windfall! Notice how Ben Stevens is implicated.... who'd EVER think he'd do something dirty? :sarcasm:

There'll be a lot more Repuke trees falling in this forest, and I can't wait. They've run this state like their own little kingdom since the '70s and it's time for it to end.

3. Me Too

Dancing on the roof and happy dancing in the kitchen for me as well. I so want the other shoe to drop soon.

But it also makes me sad. I hear and read folks saying things like, "It's about time. This has been going on for years" etc. etc. I agree it has. I've thought and said so too - many times. But where were we? What were we doing to allow this to fester for so long? Why didn't I do something?

These events should serve as a wake up call to all of us. We must pay attention and must be involved.

2. How awesome was it to see the ADN is removing Voice of the Times forever @ end of month !?!

I mean.. not that I ever paid that much attention to that segment of the paper -- but still -- just knowing they had THAT BIG of a section to spew all of their garbage and bias BS made me sick.

I noticed this morning was the first morning that Bill Allen's name has been removed from the top segment where it's always been.

Kudos to the ADN for making this move!

They did have one local writer, ELISE PATKOTAK, who filled in when all the dirtballs weren't writing... and her stories were always non-polilitical and mostly told about her life in Barrow.

I really hope she continues to stay with the ADN, but maybe in the "Alaska Section" or in the "Voices from our community" columnn.

Elise seemed to be too good for the Voice of the Times and I could never figure out why her articles -- which were nothing like the political ones the others wrote, weren't in a better part of the paper?

I'll have to drop a line into the ADN telling the Editor that she rocks.. and we need to keep her! As far as the rest of them, Good Riddens!
