Look at this comment to The Immoral Minority's post about Mark Begich's win.
http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/I have to say that the power of change has not been more clearly exemplified by any other state than Alaska and it's faithful citizens. It is with a great amount of sincere enthusiasm that I celebrate vicariously this victory with you.
You stood up and spoke out when it was considered impolite or discourteous to your governor to do so. You stood up for one man's integrity, while others remained mute and blind to the injustice of defaming a good man's name/record of service.
No other state demonstrated for change like Alaska. No other state rallied behind hope like Alaska. No other state stood on the collective integrity of its own diversity and demanded to be heard like Alaska.
Democracy in action. Every time I came here or any other Alaskan blog, read about rallies, outcries, demands for accountability, I always sat back in amazement and said, "THAT'S democracy in action."
The power of the people, baby! Well done, Alaska! Well done indeed.

I guess we did all right. :)
