1. We're still in Nome

thanks to Mt. Redoubt, but we've had an absolute blast up here. We were staying at the Nome Nugget so I got to stand out on the balcony to take pictures of Lance as he crossed the finish line, which was great since he was swarmed by media down at ground level, and we spent some time talking to him in the dog yard and petting Larry yesterday. Lance is such a great guy. We weren't counting on being here for the Red Lantern banquet, but since we won't be out until 9:30 tomorrow night (hopefully), we get that extra treat. The mushers' banquet last night (catered by the Millennium) was FABULOUS. I think there are just two mushers still out on the trail. We watched Rachel Scdoris and Tim Osmar come in this morning, and I can't remember who else this afternoon, a couple of people and then Eric Rogers.

We had so much fun, we're coming back next year. :)
