think we can't win AZ? look at these numbers and what the Zogby

STATE TOTALS as of 10/25/2004
Ind 655,554

Dems 914,264

Libertarian 18,261

Repubs 1,055,252

total 2,643,331

http://www.azsos.gov/election/Active_Voter_Count.pdf

According to Zogby's poll on Oct. 21:

Mr. Bush holds a small lead among men, while Mr. Kerry holds an unusually small edge among women. A bright spot for Mr. Kerry here – he leads among independents by a 62% to 31% margin.

so let's do the math shall we?

Repubs + Libertarians + 1/3 of Indies = 1,292,031 48.87%

Dems + 2/3 of Indies = 1,351,300 51.12%

we win by a comfortable 2.25% margin

feel better? so lets get those voters to the polls!

3. My daughter just lost one of her teachers to his yearly reserve
commitment. When we first heard about this he was going to be gone for two weeks. Now it's "he'll be gone awhile." In reality, no one expects him back this school year.

I would so love to see AZ go blue.

5. dropped off my early ballot for Kerry today at City Hall!
....in my town bumper stickers are running 9 to 1 Kerry!!

I think the N. Am vote will make a big diffrence. Prez Shirley endorsed Kerry!

Now if we can just get rid of pRick Renzi!!!!

7. Predictions are for a whopping 75-80% turn-out in AZ
My polling place was busy this morning, with about 1 1/2 hour wait at 8:45. i think the Dems are extremely motivated to get out, so maybe, just maybe, there is a tiny chance that we'll go blue. I'm not holding my breath, however.

Sadly, I don't think even a heavy turn-out will boot McCain. He's still seen as untouchable by many indies and dems alike.
