Encouraging any and all to attend. If you care at all about community radio this is a rare chance to actually have your voice heard. KXCI needs input from listeners. Come learn about the issues and participate.

From the KXCI Board of Directors
On Thursday, November 18th from 6-8:30pm, KXCI will be holding its first ever Town Hall on, what else… KXCI! The event will be held at the Stone Avenue Temple, 564 South Stone in downtown Tucson.
These past two years have been eventful to say the least. Between a new general manager, a member initiative to change the bylaws, two KXCI-sponsored Amy Goodman appearances, new programs, new programmers, record membership drives, five compilation CDs, live broadcasts and a slew of articles in the local press (some good, some bad, some ugly), our community radio station finds itself roaring into adulthood as it is about to turn 21.
Because so much has happened, is happening and will be happening, and on the eve of our 21st birthday, we see this as a prime time to reach out to our listeners (members and non-members) in a way and place more public than the radio. The hope is that we can engage in a bit of dialog – asking questions, making comments and listeners letting us know what you think and feel.
The format will involve a moderator reading questions submitted in advance (either through the KXCI website or on cards at the event) that are designed to solicit comments, opinions, and facilitate discussion. Questions may be grouped into one of the following categories: Bylaws, Programming, Board of Directors and elections, Concerts and events. Anything that does not fit into one of these categories will be given time as well. General Manager Larry Bruce will also give an update on the status of getting reception into the northwest part of town.
The event will begin with an informal "meet and greet" at 6pm with food. Stay tuned to KXCI for more information regarding the Town Hall. Please visit our website at kxci.org as well. We hope to see many of you there.
