GEMDEMS Convention last night.
Last night's GEMDEMS convention was, I thought, a good beginning. For far too long, the East Valley has been abandoned by the state party as having perennial loser districts.

I really enjoyed the enthusiasm of my fellow EV Dems in wanting to change politics. I liked that Alexis and other members of the State Party were there. For the first time in a long time, it felt like we weren't being left to twist in the winds.

Anyone else there last night? I was the guy in the back wearing the Coyotes hat who said we need to challenge every seat whether we think we can win or we'll get creamed. We need to give the voters out here a reason to get excited, a reason to care.

And, I'll go on record here. I want Flake. He can be beat and I can beat him. I know his positions, his votes, his strengths and weaknesses.

Peace.

Christian S.
