2. A Question About Phoenix?

Why is it always red? Is it because of the old retirees that have moved to the area?

seriously... as far as the eye can see. that drowns out the blueness of the inner city (what little inner city there is).

5. I have a question

Arizona is a red state, how did Clinton win it? What did he do in this state. I rememeber his winning the state, what a surprise. What happened? What did he do to win Az? We may want to delve into this.

6. I think Perot's pulling in of alot of retiree votes threw AZ to Clinton

but I haven't seen a breakdown for this state for the 1996 election.

I really believe that as long as John McCain is active in politics, Arizona will never be truly a swing state, barring some miracle. In 2006, we'll technically have to defeat him, if you know what I mean, to defeat Kyl.

7. Common sense

Arizona isn't all that 'red'. Besides Clinton carrying the state and having the two top state offices held by first rate Democrats, the voter registration numbers break down 1/3 Dem, 1/3 rep, and 1/3 party not declared (or independent). Arizonans are practical minded and can be appealed to by good old fashioned common sense, meaning Democrats can win in Arizona.
