So I reserved a car today for my trip to Phoenix. I am getting raped on taxes and fees. :wtf: is a County Stadium tax?

1. I believe that applies to the BOB

Bank One Ballpark in downtown Phoenix, where the Arizona Diamondbacks play. My brother, a resident of Tempe, and long time hater of virtually all team sports in general, and baseball in particular, has been railing over its construction (and subsequent taxation) for years.

2. Local municipalities often slap a host of fees...

as you have noted. In your case, they decided to build a stadium, and have visitors to the area pay for it.
There's also a $14.77 fee for 'rent' on the airport car rental facility.

Often you can avoid one of more of these fees by renting off-airport...usually in a downtown or suburban location.

3. It's for the Cardinals stadium and will only hit you in Maricopa County.

Voters here - the personal responsibility types - approved passing some of the cost of building their football stadium along to tourists. If you stay in a motel/hotel during your stay, you'll be bitten by the same tax again.
