We'd like to let you know about an important event happening in Phoenix, Tuesday June 28th. Senator John Edwards, Maude Hurd of ACORN, and the Arizona Minimum Wage Coalition are going to highlight the plight of minimum wage workers.
It's important to lend your voice and support to this cause because it has become the state's responsibility to ensure that our hardest workers are earning a decent wage.
Although ACT is not sponsoring this event, we think that this is an important topic and encourage you to participate. For more information, please see the message below from the Arizona Minimum Wage Coalition. If you have any questions, please contact me at mfrias@act4victory.org or call 602-926-0427
Thank you for all you do,
Michael Frias ACT-Arizona State Director
Dear Friends:
On Tuesday, June 28th, you are invited to join other members of our community to rally with Senator John Edwards and the Arizona Minimum Wage Coalition to highlight the plight of minimum wage workers.

States all across the country have recognized that a minimum wage increase is long overdue and that Congress has been slow to respond to this pressing need. So, states have begun to move their own minimum wage increases that make sense for their communities. We are just beginning that work here in Arizona and would welcome your support and participation in helping Arizona move in the right direction.
Thank you in advance for your commitment to building progressive power in Arizona. We hope you can make the meeting on June 28th!
Sincerely,
The Arizona Minimum Wage Coalition
