Why is Jon Stewart on so late here?

1. Actually the new episodes come on mon-thurs at 11pm eastern time.

The replay of the night before comes on at 8pm the next day here.

As already mentioned, the normal broadcast time on the East coast is 11pm, which is 10pm here in the central time zone.

I assume you get the West Coast feed?

4. On my Dish satellite

I get TDS at 8:00 right now with repeats at 11:00.

It is nice not having to wait until 11 like with Cox.

6. East Coast feed ...

Dish in your area apparently is presenting the East Coast feed, which would in fact be on at 8pm in your time zone.

Both cable and sattelite providers get the same feeds. Cable providers, however, tend to be more traditional with the feeds they transmit in a particular time zone. Not judging, just saying.

5. I don't have Cox, but Direct TV. I see the new episodes at 8 PM,

then they are repeated at 10 PM.
