Thanks for doing this! got your email..will call you later. :)
Greetings!
Thank you all so very much for gathering at Power Rd. and Main st. on Wednesday eve.
WOW! What a turnout! We obviously have a strong voice for Peace and common sense in the East Valley! And what a diverse crowd! I had been receiving emails for a few day's prior to Wed. night with people writing to tell me of their personal stories. Mothers with children in Iraq, elderly patriots who have "never done this sort of thing before" who felt they could no longer be silent. Viet Nam vets who have seen and recognize the path our country is on. Young people who fear another draft wanting desperately to stop this MACHINE! And so many others.
I cried for day's, and so when I met you all on Wed. I was very humbled in your presence. I cannot tell you or thank you enough for all you do!
The great news is that WE ARE the MAJORITY! Don't let anyone convince you otherwise! And finally, with an unexpected ray of hope the world has been witness to the power of a Mothers love. Cindy Sheehan! And thus a strong anti-war movement has begun!
For a couple of weeks people have donned shirts and bumper stickers and have carried signs that say "Cindy speaks for me" Now Cindy has left Camp Casey to be with her mother whom has fallen ill. It's time for us to stand and say "WE SPEAK FOR CINDY!"
Let us stand in her place, let us be as focused as she was, and let us help bring and end to this war!
We have love, and truth, and justice on our side. The greatest powers in the universe.....we've already won. But now it's time for our troops to come home. And we must demand no less!
We will be meeting on Power rd and Main St. Monday-Friday from 7-8pm. If you can't make it right at 7, show up when you can. If you can't stay as late as 8, leave when you must. And if you can only join us 1 or 2 day's a week.......great! We all have busy lives, but now is the time we shed our excuses and get to work at taking our country back!
I want to be proud again, REALLY proud to be an American, I know you do too!
I would love to hear everyone's ideas about moving forward with our newly formed east valley anti-war group. email segan72@msn.com
If anyone would like to have coffee at Village Inn after tonight's vigil winds down please let me know.
See you tonight!
Peace and love
