Come be a Part of Sojourner Center’s History
For the first time in four years funding for domestic violence shelters in Arizona has been increased!

As a result Sojourner Center was awarded a contract to create a new emergency shelter with 40 beds. This will allow us to serve an additional 265 women and children in the coming year.

This new shelter serves an overwhelming need. Sojourner Center turns away approximately 75% of the requests for shelter due to lack of space. This new facility will increase our capacity to serve women and children seeking safety and support.

Sojourner Center has less than 30 days to prepare this new shelter for women and children to call their home, so we need help now. You may have heard us refer to Sojourner Center as “the shelter the community built”. We rely on our generous partners and friends in the community to overcome the impact of domestic violence, one life at a time. Help us create a home for victims of domestic violence by volunteering your time at this new Sojourner Center site. Please contact Monique Bridges at (602) 296-3342 for more information.
