4. A couple of ideas for another DU get together...

Sorry I missed out on the picnic, today. We overslept and, by the time we got up, it didn't make any sense to make the 1½ hour drive up from Tucson. The picnic would have been just about over by then. I had bumper stickers for everybody, too. Damn.

Anyway, what about a party down here in Tucson? The community center for my HOA has an outdoor eating court and grills plus a clubhouse and indoor kitchen, in case it rains. There's a Jacuzzi for people over thirteen years old (the pool would be too cold, this time of year) a ballfield, tennis and basketball courts, a nice playground, etc. I think the facilities are available for a $50 refundable deposit plus a $1 fee per guest. I would need to reserve a date.

The other thing that might be fun would be to meet here, in Tucson, and caravan down to Nogales for a day of shopping and lunch at El Balcon.

Any interest in either idea?

7. I'm trying to find out who they are but...

...if I put a party together, I'd love it if some of you DUers from up north would attend, too. And, if we trek to Nogales, one or two Phoenicians would be welcome to stay here overnight, if they don't want to drive back on the same day. I have a spare bedroom and a fold-out couch.

By the way, now is really the time to plan a Nogy trip, with the weather starting to cool down and all.

My damned wash machine broke and I had to get a new one. Delivery was in time to have made it to the shindig, but was under the impression we were going to reschedule. Oh well, looks like you guys had a good time at the meet-up! I am glad for that. Next time! See you around.
