I think it's the Young Democrats are having their annual conference here

3. yep... was supposed to be here early September, but it was postponed
because of Hurricane Katrina.

from what I've heard it'll be a run-of-the-mill DNC meeting, with a fundraising dinner with Dean thrown in either at the beginning or the end. check out www.azdem.org or www.dnc.org, it was a while ago when I first heard about it.

4. There is a lot going on Dec 1-3
Glad I decided to click on Arizona DU link today :)

Progressive Democrats of America are holding events surrounding the DNC Conference in Phoenix December 1-3

Thursday December 1st Social
Venue: Lucky Break Downtown PHX
Entrainment: Salsa Band has yet to confirm however
Tim Reynolds from DMB will be playing as well.
Time: 730PM - ?
Celebs will include Tim mentioned above and Mimi Kennedy (who plays Dharmas mother on Sitcom Dharma and Greg), Lynn Woosley, Tom Hayden and more...
Purpose: DNC Members will be invited to this social gathering and will see first hand the Anti-War message from many local activist groups who are planned to be tabling all over this event. Mimi Kennedy will MC this event and Tom Hayden will discuss many issues leading up to the war in Iraq...more details are coming everyday!

Saturday December 3rd
"Pathway to a Progressive Agenda within the Democratic Party"
PDA Activist Training
Introduction to PDA inside/outside strategy with the Democratic Party
Trainings
DNC and DLC Mechanics

Our website is just about to launch...should be up by Monday www.phoenixpda.com and pda national site is www.pdamerica.org

Please plug your self in to this event! A flyer will be ready for distribution on Monday as well and available to download on the phoenixpda site mentioned above.
